ALL ABOUT US

Kismet Kinders is located in the Cleveland west side suburb of Bay Village.

Our newly built classrooms are set up for success and purposeful play each day. Including: a calm down space, reading space, play space, building space, sensory space, art space, mud kitchen, and SIP (self watering garden that students help to grow and harvest). Toilet training is accommodated. Classroom furniture is brand new.

If you haven’t met Bella yet, please feel free to come on by and give this big floppy puppy a cuddle or a treat!

We’re ready to play in all weather! We let seasons inspire our focus and play. "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing." The Peaceful Purposeful curriculum is used for inspiration in addition to Chiara’s own curriculum, developed over her years as an educator.

We believe all children are whole-competent beings and therefore our role in the classroom is to act as a facilitator to these naturally curious and creative children! Much of the "work" we do is child-driven so that we remain intrinsically motivated and engaged, helping us to make better sense of the world around us.

Chiara McCarthy, owner and operator of Kismet Kinders Playschool, is a creative educator, parent and adult/children's yoga instructor. She has been certified to teach elementary and middle school in Connecticut, California and Ohio. Meet our Educarers.

Kismet Kinders was inspired by Chiara’s years teaching all preschool in New Canaan, CT, while her daughter Rosie attended the same school from 3-5 years old. Kismet Kinders is a one-room schoolhouse, one indoor classroom, and an awesome outdoor space for exploring and tinkering! Mindfulness and movement are offered every day and music is offered once a week.
